Uniview's B series NVR is capable of displaying and recording up to 8MP cameras and has an improved decoding ability. One new feature launched with the B series is ultra motion detection which allows the NVR to record specific type of motion based on humans or vehicles rather than just changes detected in the pixels leading to more meaningful security footage.

Use of restricted products affects government contractors even on their own security systems on their private property. Recently, the FCC has followed suit and also banned those same manufacturers.
